THOMAS KINKADE presents: Dorothy Discovers the Emerald City
The First of eight – don’t miss this Wizard of Oz collection
The Wizard of Oz and all related characters and elements are trademarks of Turner Entertainment Co. Judy Garland as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz
“In the first Oz painting we see Dorothy and friends as they view the fabled Emerald City for the first time. The familiar cast of characters is here – Dorothy, Cowardly Lion, Tin Man, Scarecrow – as well as the Wicked Witch of the West, scary Winged Monkeys, and of course the Munchkins. We can even see Glinda the Good Witch floating in her transparent sphere of light, as though to bless the journey of the travelers.”
This painting is the first work of what will become Thom’s “Oz Octet”. You can be one of the first to reserve your copy in your preferred size: 12×18, 18×27, 24×36 & 28×42. A fully refundable $100 deposit will put you on the reservation list on a first come basis. As the most watched movie in film history, it is expected that this edition is expected to sell out quickly. The Wizard of Oz was ranked #1 on the American Film Institute’s list of the 10 greatest films in the Fantasy genre. The first 10 collectors to put in their reservation will receive a FREE framed Spirit of America print (18″x24″) and all reservations in August will be entered to win a framed, limited edition archival print of Autumn Lane ($995 value) when orders are fulfilled.
Orders are expected to arrive in time for the Heritage Tour Event Ocotber 1st-3rd, where you can book your free appointment with Thom’s brother, Pat Kinkade, who will highlight your canvas, or draw a sketch on the back while sharing boyhood stories of growing up with Thom.

the Timmy Foundation
|
Join us for the 10th annual Brick Street Gallery Walk and visit with the many varied artists flocking the streets of Zionsville. Corner Vise Gallery is welcoming three artists and an inspirational humanitarian to this event.
Teaming up
with the Timmy Foundation, nationally acclaimed wildlife artist, Rod Frederick, has helped to raise awareness and funds towards ‘Building Healthy Futures”. His depiction of Dr. Chuck Dietzen (shown right with babies in India), Timmy founder, entitled Medicine Man, was inspired by his involvement with a medical brigade treating Amazonian villagers along t he Rio Negro. All proceeds of the Medicine Man poster, that can be signed and personalized by the artist, along with a portion of all other Frederick’s prints, will go to the Timmy Foundation. For additional information on the Timmy Foundation, visit: www.timmyfoundation.org

Frederick “as famous for his paintings as for his sense of humor and gaudy shirts” is known for his “wild and crazy character” and is completely at home in the serene outdoors as a fearless explorer traveling the wilds of the world. Sally Mills, exclusively represented by Corner Vise Gallery, will be working on her newest textured impressionist creation. Mills‘
original oils are passionately created with generous portions of paint, liberally applied with a palette knife. Come in to watch Mills wield her palette knife and see if you can discover where she has hidden her trademark mustard seed. Sailing with Monet by Sally

Bill Tincher, our third featured artist, takes photographs to a surreal level of romanticism. Check out Tincher’s work at: www.moments1.com
Ken ‘Wildman’ Klim, will be our upcoming First Friday artist on July 2nd. His vignettes of antique automobiles are modern, yet nostalgic.

Mother’s Contemplation ( below)
by Scarlet Cramer

Working alongside Mother Teresa in India, Dr. Chuck, as he has become affectionately known, was inspired to passionately pursue his “vision to create a world where all children have access to quality health care and education”.
The result is the Timmy Foundation whose core mission is “Building healthy futures by expanding access to healthcare and education, while empowering students and volunteers to engage directly in global development.” One such student volunteer from Notre Dame University remarked, “Every time I hear him talk, I get more excited about the foundation, about what I have decided to do with my life.” So, don’t miss your chance to meet this amazing “Medicine Man” as depicted in nationally acclaimed artist’s Rod Frederick’s painting. (You’ll get your opportunity to meet this ‘wild and crazy’ artist June 25th during the Brick Street Gallery Walk).
All proceeds from print sales of the artwork has been generously donated by the artist along with the original painting of Mother’s Contemplation which will be available through a silent auction. Framing of the original has been donated by partners Larson-Juhl and Corner Vise. Final bidding will take place on May 14th after Dr. Chuck’s presentation.
For additional information on the Zionsville events for Market Eve, Friday, May 14th and Market Day, Saturday, May 15th – see the attached flyer.
